Molly Stone is an emerging singer-songwriter with a small catalogue, sharp lyrical voice and strong potential for wider discovery as she begins releasing more consistently.
For her first campaign, we centred activity around her single Just a Girl, with the goal of building a durable base of emotionally connected folk-pop listeners rather than short-lived traffic. From 6 October to 3 November 2025, we ran a four-week conversion ads campaign designed to attract high-intent listeners while training Spotify's algorithms to identify and expand Molly's ideal audience.
The four-week campaign was built to create repeat listener behaviour, not disposable traffic.
Conversion ads focused on listeners likely to stream through the full track, save it, add it to playlists and come back to Molly's profile or catalogue.
Those actions matter because they help Spotify understand who is connecting with the artist. The result was a stronger base of listeners, clearer audience data and a stronger algorithmic audience connection via Spotify Radio, Autoplay and future release recommendations.

This graph shows 'Just a Girl' rising from the campaign start around 6 October, with targeted ads converting 150-200 streams a day from more emotionally connected listeners. The 2.2 streams-per-listener average signals healthy engagement and helps Spotify recommend the track to valuable repeat streamers.
Audience Depth & Fan Conversion

The save and playlist activity lifted Molly's core audience from 2-3 repeat streaming listeners a day before the campaign to 55-60 during and after it. Profile/catalogue listeners grew from 357 to 566 (+58.5%), while listeners' own playlists and libraries rose from 47 to 303 (+544.7%).

Super fans and moderate fans are Molly's highest-value audience segments.
Active audiences account for over 60% of total monthly streams, making them crucial to long-term engagement and consistent audience growth. Within that audience, super fans and moderate fans are the most engaged listeners.
They are more likely to purchase merchandise and live show tickets, follow other platforms, join mailing lists and invest in artists through subscriptions or direct support. This view shows the improved engagement across super, moderate and light listeners per 28 days, including super listeners streaming an average of 32.4 times.
This engagement helped Molly's Spotify following grow from 110 to 207, averaging around 3.4 new followers a day over the last 28 days. The graph below shows the sharper rise from 6 October, alongside a 19.08% fan conversion rate that Chartmetric rates as excellent for an emerging artist.

Conclusion
Molly Stone's first campaign did more than lift her numbers for four weeks. It created a clearer, more valuable audience foundation for future releases.
By focusing on high-intent actions around Just a Girl, the campaign gave Spotify better evidence of who connects with Molly's writing and sound. New listeners became repeat listeners, repeat listeners became followers, and the artist's core audience shifted toward more engaged moderate and super listener segments.
That gives Molly a stronger base to build from: a larger retargetable audience, better algorithmic data, more saved-library behaviour and clearer signs that future releases can reach people who are likely to stay connected.
