Following the success of her debut solo single “Two Truths and a Lie,” singer-songwriter Nina Ann Nelson returns with “Just a Little,” a striking blend of pop and R&B/soul that radiates confidence, clarity, and self-worth.
Produced by Symphony (ZAYN, GOT7, Kehlani) and written by Nina Ann Nelson, “Just a Little” is a sonic and emotional evolution for the artist, an unfiltered look at recognising one’s value and refusing to settle for less, in love or in life.
“This is the first time I’ve released a song while I’m still living the story it’s about,” Nina shares. “Just a Little came from a recent romantic encounter that woke me up to what I’d been accepting for way too long — counting the bare minimum as something meaningful when it just… isn’t. After repeating that cycle one too many times, this was the moment that broke it. It’s funny, because this guy didn’t do anything worse than the others. He just happened to be the last one to do it to me. The song is that realization: like, you see who I am, right? I’m hot, I’m talented, I’m self-sufficient, I make my own money, I’m funny, I’m empathetic — I’m all these things and more. So why should I settle for someone giving me just a little? At the end of the day, half-assed is still ass. And I’m done with the bare minimum.”
With lush production, sultry melodies, and Nina’s signature soulful delivery, “Just a Little” stands alongside contemporary artists like Kehlani, KWN, RAYE, Cleo Sol, Kali Uchis, Leon Thomas, and Sasha Keable, artists who seamlessly bridge emotional honesty with groove and sophistication.
With support from tastemakers such as JustJared, UPROXX, Playbill, Modern Luxury, and Broadway, Nina Ann Nelson is re-emerging under her own name, embracing complete creative freedom.
