Molly Stone Returns with Empowering New Pop Single ‘I Got You’

Emerging pop artist Molly Stone returns with her latest single, “I Got You”, a playful and heartfelt tribute to friendship, loyalty, and the unfiltered joy of chosen family. Known for her signature blend of vulnerability and wit, described as “sweet voice, sharp tongue, unapologetically Molly”, Stone continues to carve out a distinctive space in contemporary pop, where emotional honesty meets sharp lyrical edge.

Her music has previously been recognised for balancing “sweetness and sass… distinctly her own,” as noted by Earmilk, a quality that is once again on full display in “I Got You”. The track leans into upbeat pop energy while holding space for sincerity, celebrating the “unhinged, crazy moments” shared between best friends, not just companions, but “partners in crime.”

Written during a session with writer Maddox Jones and producer/writer Dave Crawford of Plastic Tree Studios, the single came from Stone’s desire to honour the women in her life who have had a profound emotional impact on her.

“I wanted to write a love song for my best friends,” Stone explains. “My female friendships have been so amazing and impactful for me, and I just realised how special they really are. This song is my way of celebrating that — it’s fun, silly, and full of all the moments that make those relationships what they are.”

“I Got You” sits comfortably alongside influences and comparable artists such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Lily Allen, and Chappell Roan, while maintaining Stone’s unmistakable voice and perspective.

With its blend of humour, heart, and high-energy pop production, “I Got You” reinforces Molly Stone’s growing reputation as an artist who turns personal truth into universally relatable anthems; sharp, sincere, and unapologetically herself.
