London-based actress, singer-songwriter, and producer Lauren Akosia delivers an uplifting Afro-house anthem celebrating ambition, positivity, and personal growth.
Multifaceted actress and singer-songwriter, and voice artist Lauren Akosia returns with her inspiring new single, “It’s Time”, a vibrant Afro-house and electronic dance release that encourages listeners to embrace their dreams, stay positive, and step confidently into their future.
“It’s Time” blends energetic South African-inspired house rhythms, contemporary Afrobeats influences, and atmospheric electronic textures with Akosia’s signature storytelling approach. The result is a motivational anthem designed to inspire listeners to focus on their goals, celebrate their progress, and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
“‘It’s Time’ is about encouragement,” says Akosia. “It’s about pursuing your dreams, enjoying the journey, and pushing forward towards greater things. We are constantly developing, growing, and rising. It’s time to lock in, believe in yourself, and get ready for whatever it is you’re hoping for.”
The release continues Akosia’s growing evolution as a recording artist, building on the momentum of her acclaimed debut single “Let It Go,” which earned her a nomination for Best International Act of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Music Awards USA. Known for her ability to merge cinematic storytelling with contemporary electronic music, Akosia brings the emotional depth of her acting career into every song she creates.
A classically trained performer, Lauren Akosia has built an impressive career across television, theatre, and music. Musically, Akosia occupies a unique space where Afro-house, deep house, Afrobeats, R&B, and electronic dance music intersect.
