Matthew Beachy, professionally known as Lil Crush, The Baby Goat, announces the release of his highly anticipated new album, Reel Music, a bold, immersive project that solidifies his position as one of the most dynamic and genre-defying artists of his generation. Spanning 30 tracks and 1 hour and 31 minutes, the album is a multidimensional journey through emotion, sound, and cultural fusion.
Born in Minneapolis and raised between Bogotá, Colombia and the United States, Lil Crush embodies the spirit of dual heritage. His artistry is rooted in Afro-Colombian identity and shaped by a life lived across borders, resulting in a sonic world that feels both deeply personal and globally resonant. A shapeshifter by nature, Beachy wears many masks, and every one of them speaks truth. As Lil Crush, he seamlessly blends hip hop, R&B, alternative country, and experimental pop into heartfelt anthems that balance vulnerability with confidence, raw emotion with melodic mastery.
The album Reel Music marks two decades of performance for Lil Crush, now 25. His career began at just five years old, when he first took the stage in Bogotá. This milestone project reflects that journey, bringing together the full range of artistic personas he has developed over the years.
Reel Music, is a testament to this fearless creative vision. Across the album, Lil Crush collaborates with a wide range of artists, including Colombian Crush, THR333, The Latin Prince, Fa’id, BRIZO, and Beachy himself, expanding his musical universe while remaining grounded in emotional authenticity.

Beyond his work as Lil Crush, Beachy expands his artistic identity through multiple creative personas. As The Latin Prince, he channels the vibrant sounds of reggaeton, bachata, cumbia, corridos, and vallenato, honouring his Afro-Latin roots while pushing Latin music into bold new territory. Rather than replicating tradition, he reimagines it, building bridges between generations and genres.
Under his given name, Beachy, he is also a producer and sonic architect. He produces his own work as well as the experimental projects of THR333 (The Hardship Reveal 333), the boundary-pushing Minneapolis-based band he founded in 2024. Through THR333, he merges experimental rock with forward-thinking production, crafting music that defies categorisation and resonates deeply.
Lil Crush first gained widespread attention with his breakout single “Suni Lee,” an Olympic-inspired anthem dedicated to fellow Minnesotan gymnast Suni Lee. The song became a cultural moment, inspiring young people to chase greatness and embrace their inner “Baby Goat.” In recognition of its impact, a large mural featuring both Suni and Lil Crush, along with the lyrics from the anthem he wrote in her honour, has been painted in bold lettering on a wall in St. Paul the twin city to his hometown Minneapolis, Minnesota. From 2019 to 2022, he was signed to the Minneapolis hip hop powerhouse WEON Records, where he developed his sound and built key creative partnerships.
In 2020, Lil Crush launched his annual Baby Goat mixtape series, inspired by Lil Wayne’s iconic Carter era. Released alongside his official studio albums, the series quickly became a defining extension of his artistry, with the first official instalment titled Baby Goat 2. The project gained notable industry attention, earning consistent placement throughout the year on the popular “Monday to Monday” Spotify playlist curated by Gary Vaynerchuk and Mike Boyd Jr..
In 2021, Beachy launched his own creative label and brand, Planet Crush. By 2025, the Minnesota-based label had expanded globally, signing and developing artists, bands, and producers across multiple genres. More than a label, Planet Crush is a thriving artistic ecosystem built on fearless creativity and emotional truth.
For Lil Crush, music is more than sound; it is a multidimensional experience and a platform for identity, evolution, and connection. He refuses to be boxed into any genre or label.
He doesn’t call himself a rapper; he calls himself an artist.
Whether performing solo or lighting up stages with THR333, Lil Crush is more than a musician; he is a movement.
“With Reel Music, Lil Crush isn’t just releasing an album, he’s unveiling a universe,” says music publicist Danielle Holian, Decent Music PR. “Thirty tracks, zero boundaries. He moves effortlessly between cultures, genres, and identities, and somehow makes it all feel cohesive, intentional, and deeply human. This project doesn’t chase trends; it sets its own frequency. Lil Crush is proving that evolution isn’t a phase for him, it’s the foundation.”
