The Debut Album
Mile High Club
Release Date: 24th February 2023
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Roman Shokuri, better known as “Namor” is an independent artist, producer, and songwriter from California’s Bay Area. Since his first official release in 2020, Namor has developed a versatile, Pop/R&B style of alternative production with electronic elements, gathering various vocalists to collaborate and shine on the silky-smooth tracks.
Taking inspiration from multiple genres, he has expressed his love for combining the sound of modern musical genres with the retro and “futuristic” sound of the 1980s which can be heard through his consistent use of synthesizers. His early releases and collaborations (including an unreleased song placement with Swae Lee of the superstar rap group "Rae Sremmurd") have only scratched the surface of his creative potential and leave us with a burning anticipation for his future projects.

“This record started off as a small-scale album to be made solely for live performance in clubs, and it slowly became a very endearing art piece as the concept developed into a story with characters reflecting my own relationship experiences”

ABOUT THE ALBUM
Namor is ready to make 2023 his own with the release of his debut album Mile High Club, a synth-driven Pop album with heavy Dance/Electronic elements. It has a little bit of everything for everyone, as some songs follow the classic “four-on-the-floor” drum patterns and others dip into smooth hyperpop breakbeats. There’s a bit of middle-eastern influence sprinkled in some of the chord progressions, as those are Namor’s roots. Proving once again his multi skills, he did all the production and songwriting on the album. While two songs are vocally performed exclusively by Namor, he collaborated with Tucker Starbuck, LifeonMarzz, Lea Fromm, and Calypso Carbon from the group “House Of Carbon” on the others.
This album is directly influenced by Daft Punk’s album “Random Access Memories”, “CRASH” album by Charlie XCX, “Midnight Express” album by Giorgio Moroder, “After Hours” album by The Weeknd. As well as Stanley Kubrick’s film “Eyes Wide Shut”.
If you’re in California, don’t miss the chance to catch Namor live! A series of concerts is scheduled to promote the album with the first show on 31st March 2023 in Oakland, California.
