Landing credible publications is essential for your search rank, your Spotify editorial playlisting consideration, social media verification badges, your algorithmic prioritisation and a whole host of other factors that establish and improve your artist profile score.

When Google, Instagram, Spotify, Tik-Tok and others measure an artist's credibility they use internal scoring metrics to asses how high an artists rank is. This is done by allocating points based on various factors and include two of the following criterion:
 

• SEO rank of publication (How credible is the source of the publication)

• Number of credible articles (How many press features are published about you)
