Electronic soul group formed by Mani Shoniwa with Anita Jarrett. The debut album, ‘Voodoo Soul’ released in 1992, was described as innovative and timeless and featured a forty-piece orchestra.
Campaign Objective
After a career hiatus, this new track marked a new chapter for Mani’s project. Yoyohoney had always connected well with listeners wide and far, and so we wanted to promote ‘Supernova’ to a wide demographic via Radio

Radio for 'Supernova'
Yoyohoney’s new album combines elements of Nu-Soul, electronica, Gospel & orchestral arrangements, and ‘Supernova’ acts as the focal track.
Decent wanted to reach a wide audience across countries with our radio campaign. The track was supported by many presenters and stations including in Australia and Austria, as well as the UK.
ABC Radio Sydney - Australian equivalent of BBC. The first public radio station in Australia, launching in 1923. Now the station streams online too, broadcasting the latest news around the clock as well as playing the very best music.
Jazz FM - a digital radio station, based in London, United Kingdom owned and operated by Bauer media as well as its sister stations Scala, Magic, Planet Rock and Greatest Hits radio. Their emission include musical genres such as jazz, soul and blues. Slogan: Listen in Colour. Presenter Simon Phillips loved the track, commenting to us:
'Been a fan of Yoyo since 'Groove on' my pirate radio days and so good to see them still doing their thing, I love this and so glad they've still got their trademark sound and how good does Anita sound - Fine Wine. This has got my support for sure! love love love!'

Reprezent - a popular youth-led radio station based in Brixton, South London that reaches young people aged between 18 and 25. The Pit London added on rotation for their show here. Presenter Miz supported the track on The Fat Steve Show.
Hit Radio Ö3 - Hitradio Ö3 is one of the nationwide radio stations of Austria's public broadcaster ORF. The format focuses on contemporary hit radio, specialising in pop music and chart hits from the 1980s to the present. Ö3 has the biggest audience share by far of all Austrian radio stations.
Phonic FM - Exeter’s sound alternative – a community radio station for the city and beyond. Presenter Jason Maddocks loved the track (thought the vibe was really cool) and gave it airplay on his Emergent Unsigned Radio show
