Hugo Brijs
Indie recording artist and acclaimed composer Hugo Brijs is known for his eclectic mix of alternative rock, electronic textures, and hauntingly atmospheric melodies, based out of London.
Campaign Objective
To promote new single ‘Creeper’ after a hiatus as an artist (having focused on his film compositions). We were keen to secure high-tier press placements, as well as continue to build his fanbase over on Spotify.

Highlights & Impact
Press
‘Creeper’ would be the first of a string of singles Decent would be working with, leading into the release of the artist’s second full-length album. We really wanted to push the visual element of the album (with it's striking cinematic music videos & visual motifs) to publications that appreciate this.

The campaign successfully secured placements in multiple influential music blogs and platforms, including coveted outlets Clash, 1883 & Earmilk, as well as Music News, Soundsphere, Backseat Mafia & Conversations About Her amongst many others. ‘Creeper’ was praised for its dark, atmospheric production, with critics highlighting Brijs' innovative sound.
Brijs' debut release ‘Glitra’ had garnered great support and it was now our duty to continue building on this foundation, whilst enticing fresh fans and hype-building an entirely new body of work. Mostly known for his immersive compositions in television and film, we were looking to cement Brijs’ presence as an artist first and foremost.

Playlisting
Having amassed over 10 million Spotify streams, Hugo was looking for Playlisting support to further strengthen his Spotify following. Playlisting wins included a placement on The Listening Post Editorial Playlist, a host of independent playlists such as Pull Your ROCKS Up and Indie Rock, as well as several Algorithmic playlists including The Sound of Dallas Texas and The Edge of Alternative Dance. Algorithmic playlists like these ones are dynamically generated based on user-listening habits, and ensures the track is introduced to the most relevant audiences by honing in on what genre the artist is most close to.
'Creeper' also gained traction on Spotify playlists dedicated to underground and indie-rock music, helping Brijs grow his listener base organically. Through a well-coordinated media strategy, Brijs successfully introduced his distinct sound to a wider and more engaged audience online.
