COASTCITY was born in the perfect moment, when its Grammy-nominated members Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores had already made names for themselves in the music industry.

We secured press features across a selection of high-tier platforms, including Earmilk, Backseat Mafia and Music News.

This campaign helped COASTCITY reach fresh audiences and build upon the foundations of their previous successes. We achieved that by getting coverage in relevant publications such as Music Crowns, Purple Melon, Tagg, Hive and Voice Mag where music lovers were able to discover their latest single release. Moreover, the campaign has been great for SEO and raising awareness of the duo online and in turn, across the industry. We also drew attention to the band’s accompanying music video for the single, which was a particularly important aspect of their release.


‘Afterlife’ presents a unique fusion of Latin and R&B elements, carrying a dark undertone. Exploring an unresolved conflict that ultimately finds solace in the afterlife, the track takes listeners on a journey of healing and emotional discovery. We made sure to convey this messaging our press release and outreach, celebrating the previous ‘wins’ of the two band members whilst also drawing attention to the fresh music they were producing as Coastcity.

Playlisting


Our playlisting campaign for the single was a great success. We were able to feed media looks from press through to editors in our pitching too. It is always a benefit to run Playlisting alongside Digital Publicity for this reason, as Editorial placement opportunities are further opened up when big press wins are achieved for the artist. Editorial placements we achieved for ‘Afterlife’ were New Music Friday Latin by Spotify, Latin R&B by Spotify and R&B Latino by Spotify, amongst a string of huge independent playlists too.
