World Goes Round Release 'Round The World'
Round The World is the sensational follow-up single to World Goes Round's debut 'Big House'. Released on July 17th, we've been spinning 'Round The World' on repeat here in the Decent office. It's 80s pop at its finest - an anthemic chorus, luscious layers of synth, catchy guitar riffs and booming snare. Not to mention Frank's stand-out vocals, that seem as fresh today as ever. Especially given the thematic relevance of the song right now. After all the unprecedented trauma and fear of Covid 19 and the worldwide restrictions of lockdown, this song looks forward to a time when it's okay to dream of travelling again - taking to the road and embracing this precious life in all it's beauty.
World Goes Round, aka 'The Supergroup That Never Was' are a four-piece hailing from 80s LA. Made up of four friends, this is the story of a band who wrote and recorded an album together yet never released it at the time; each becoming too swept up in the whirlwind of their own individual successes as songwriters and musicians. Hence the name 'That Never Was'. Like Fleetwood Mac and The Eurythmics, there was romance at the heart of the band. Frank and Elizabeth’s relationship started as a love affair before mellowing into a creative force, which yielded the unforgettable hit song they wrote together with Brian May of Queen, “Too Much Love Will Kill You”. The composition was a global hit, winning a coveted Ivor Novello Award in the UK for ‘best song musically and lyrically’.
