We're Not Ambivalent About China Bamboo's Single 'Ambivalence (For You)'

China Bamboo are colouring our daily soundtracks with the vibrant sound of ambient anthems. Boasting their unique brand of ‘bubble-gum goth,’ China Bamboo are storming the scene with their innovative take on an alt-indie sound. Made up of four life-long friends, the Brighton-based band are building on their momentum with the recent release of ‘Ambivalence (For You)’ - a stunning single showcasing the musical mastery of the four young creatives. This latest single comes off the back of their debut hit ‘We’ve Disconnected,’ a track rife with slick guitar melodies and a chorus so catchy you’ll be humming it under your mask for days.

‘Ambivalence (For You)’ is built on a stunning soundscape of spacious synths and sweeping guitar countermelodies. Front-woman Ruby’s vocals are outstanding on this track, as they sail over the thick sonic landscape. Having conceived the idea of ‘Ambivalence (For You)’ years ago, lead singer Ruby’s concept was given a new lease of life when bandmate Danny discovered this hidden gem this year; Ruby describes that “Danny’s passion and vision for the song was a turning point.” Whatever led to the release of this atmospheric anthem, we couldn’t be more thankful. Creating an atmosphere with haunting vocal harmonies, China Bamboo’s utilise every inch of their musical expertise throughout this beautiful track. Whilst China Bamboo might be feeling ambivalent on their latest hit, it’s safe to say we’re 100% certain in our love for China Bamboo.
