We Chat With Captivating Hip-hop Artist Animation
So tell us about your most recent release?
My most recent release was "pretty boy". This was one of those songs I wanted to release as soon as I could get it out because it had that hit sound to it. Lyrics are always important to me and I can find it hard to balance the substance with the new style sound, but this song is an example of when I feel I did a good job of it and the feedback so far from my supporters has been up there with some of my best music so it's good to see a return from the work I am doing.

What's your local music scene like?
I live just outside of Toronto, so the scene over here is pretty strong as it is downtown. I think a lot of the inspiration has come from over there. I work with many artists collaborating on features and production which is awesome. We have also played shows together so the support system is great. With that being said, there's a lot of fake artists not really trying that dilutes the scene sadly. It makes it harder for the rest of us that are actually working hard at it.
How would you describe your musical style?
I've been listening to old school hip-hop from an extremely young age so I'm a writer. Lyrics are important to me but nowadays, the flow and sound is a lot more important than just what is being said. I've studied music ever since I was 7 years old and this has given me the ability to adapt. My music is unique because my lyrics hold substance but my new school production and flows keep it very interesting.
Who were your musical influences growing up?
Inspiration for this type of music (new school with substance), I would say hold strong from Roddy Ricch, Polo G, XXXTENTACION, and Juice Wrld of course.
Is there a certain mood you have to be in to write music?
I can write music in any mood, but the type of music I create/ the outcome is what willl vary depending on how I feel. (Aggressive, sad, happy, etc.)

What's the best gig you've ever been to?
First show I ever played we sold out a bar in the city. That was a crazy feeling. I had never performed before and even though, it was just a bar, we had it packed to the door. I had never brought more energy to that many people before. I've played a lot of shows since then and that's really my favorite thing in the world. Being on stage and controlling a crowd. It's what I am best at and I love bringing people that good energy more than anything. It's like the whole reason I make music all put out on stage at once.
What are your plans moving into 2021?
Up until this point of my career, I feel my team and I have been learning everything we can about properly creating music up to par with professional sounds and also the business side of things like promotion etc. Going forward in 2021, we just want to be creating and releasing as much quality content as possible while moving correct on the business side of things. I want to start making enough from music to survive after that.
