Ten Eighty Trees release brutally honest new single ‘Born Free’

With ‘Born Free’, the rockers from the North East challenged themselves to write a catchy but also relatable and slightly philosophical track.

The motto for this single, as Then Eighty Trees explain was: “Concise yet catchy.” They explain: “We have always been fascinated by the art of writing a song that says everything it needs to say without pausing for a breath or waste a second. We wanted this track to be an unforgettable speeding g bullet of a song.”

Raging against the ideas of fate and the circumstances you a born into forms the main focus of the tracks lyrics. They open up the conflicting thoughts of feeling trapped in a seemingly ordinary life. Dissatisfaction is a prominent feeling throughout but juxtaposed by suggestion of potential and possibilities waiting to be realised.
