Afro-pop Artist CrtlT To Release New Single 'Can Do'

Atlanta-based afro-fusion/afro-pop artist CrtlT (Control T), releases his latest single, ‘Can Do’ this Wednesday 23rd September.

The track follows the artist’s latest release, ‘Star’, which was an all round afro-pop bop, with haunting vocals sung in his mother-tongue language (he was born in Lagos, Nigeria), and harmonies intertwined with 808-infused rhythm.

Can Do’ tells the story of CrtIT talking to a talented dancer asking her what she “can do”, as he watches her dance. The story was inspired as CrtIT was scrolling through social media and found an influencer/dancer who was very talented. CrtIT says, “as humans it is impossible to reach our full potential we can only aim for it and so the work never stops. The more work you put in as a creative, dancer, artist, etc. the more you ‘can do’.” Mixed and mastered by @skimzea_beatz and produced by @tniabeats, this latest track will have you moving that’s for sure.

CrtIT has been singing and creating music from a young age. He sang in his grandmother's church choir and in high school, where he joined the Christian group, Zamar. CrtIT was one of the singers in the group, made up of three rappers and two singers. Zamar went on to perform at GCGT, a major gospel music event in Lagos, Nigeria.

CrtlT is a strong believer in community and he considers every listener of his music a member of his musical family.

'Can Do' is out 23rd September on all major digital platforms.
