DIGITAL PUBLICITY

Over the past 3 years, by working to push my own band Moodbay, I have built up a brilliant network of contacts with bloggers who are passionate about promoting new music by independent and emerging artists.

My belief is that in order to succeed in this industry, you need to start by attracting the attention of smaller publications before being of interest to the larger ones. If you are an emerging act, I do not work to get you on NME or Pitchfork, I work to get you features in great independent blogs ran by lovers of music, who will either review and/or share your music on their platform. I always ensure that for every campaign we achieve a good amount of decent written content, whereby the writer has not simply copied the text from your EPK word for word. Then, you will have good quality features you can use for quotes and are more happy to share on socials etc as they feel more genuine. So, if you'd like to get a head start with securing good quality content that promotes you and your music, you've come to the right place.

What Features Will I Get If We Work Together?

Provided we are a good match and I feel that I can help to push your music, I offer the following within a given campaign:

  • 2 weeks leading into release: 2 or 3 features to build some hype

  • Days before release: a premiere/exclusive on 1 blog + a feature on the Decent Blog

  • 2 weeks following release: the most amount of features will be day of release onwards, with links to the music live on streaming platforms provided by the blogger (minimum of 2 features - but if your music goes down well, this could be up to 6)

= at least 6 features in the bag - any others are a bonus for you

Note: You can expect to have around two interview-style features (maybe more if you're happy to), one of which will be on my very own Decent blog, and the other(s) elsewhere. Of course, this requires you to answer questions, so I'm just letting you know in advance.
